Early Warning of Rotating Machinery Failures Features and Benefits:
Routine readings of shaft current and shaft voltage, can eliminate costly outages and expensive bearing and other machinery part replacements. The MPS SCModule, is permanently mounted and provides an easy-to-access interface for monitoring the electrical grounding current and shaft voltage profiles in rotating machinery. Whether the rotating unit is electrical or mechanical, an MPS SCModule can monitor any new or existing, insulated shaft riding brush. When functioning as a stand-alone, smart transducer, the SCModule reports a status of high, low and normal as a basic indicator to maintenance personnel of the units present condition. When an operational fault starts to develop, indications on the front panel LEDs alert the operator. Only one SCMeter is needed to obtain exact readings from either the grounding brush or voltage sensing brush being monitored. The SCMeter measures Peaks and Averages of either the Current or the Voltage. In addition, when externally powered, SCModules provide continuous output signals for more extensive diagnosis by the customers preferred condition monitoring system. SCModule General Specifications
